Please read this is more than just a ponytail!
Creating a Basic Ponytail
1. Comb your hair and wrap a hair tie around your wrist!
2. Gather your hair into your dominant hand.
3. Lift your hair up to the height you want it. (high up creates a nicer look and sets up for braid or pull through if desired)
4. Smooth hair back
5. Wrap a hair tie around the ponytail. (Will pull overhand to do this)
6. Touch up the ponytail. (braid, pull through, fishtail, etc. )
7. Most importantly! Have fun! This should be an enjoyable experience for yourself and your daughter. This is an opportunity to create a healthier relationship.
The last thing we want to do is add stress.
Can you imagine how your day would go? Adding stress before you had to go to work or school and being screamed at.. on top of that you are then expected to perform well at your job or test.
This is emotionally damaging to your children. In most healthy relationships, if someone treated us that way, we would promptly end that relationship. Our children can only hide in the room(if lucky)they can’t end the relationship. They depend on us for guidance and love. What are we teaching them?
If someone on the street treated us that way, we would simply turn around and go the other way. Think about it!!
